Back story:
Angelica Darling was born to wealthy, conservative, god-fearing parents. She lived a privileged lifestyle that she rebelled against in her teen years, ultimately leaving her family behind once she reached adulthood. Struggling to make ends meet in the real world, she began to having visions of the supernatural. She awoke one day to find white wings sprouting from her back.

Soon after, she was greeted by a being describing itself as from a race called "the divine.” Learning that she descended from a lineage of otherworldly beings that have informed many human mythologies (gods, demons, aliens, and monsters), she adopts the street name 'Dove' as she defends humanity from the worst of her kind.
