Once the servant of an ancient and now lost god, he was made to create tombs and chambers under the sand of the desert, recover riches and bodies and more. Now without his god he is unguided but still programmed to do these things, though let's say said "programming" has taken a bit of a beating and the original motives got lost with time. He now roams the desert, digging up and rebuilding chambers, scouring for lost relics, recovering bodies and even killing anyone who interferes with his work.
