I’m declaring personal war against lighting after this
Skuldr is a Norse-inspired fantasy project that I’ve been working on for a bit over a year now, this post is a promise to myself to lock in and actually make it a comic (some day, my art skills need to recover first)
These guys occupy my brain 99% of the time it is not okay
Story blurb for those interested:
“The heavens will fall.”
Those words had been etched into Saefre’s dreinblade longer than she’d been alive. She’d always assumed it was a reference to the blade’s purpose: killing Aesir.
She never imagined she’d end up traveling with one.
Lykö is many things: a wandering problem magnet, a bard who seems to only know three songs, a chronic gambler, and—unbeknownst to Saefre—an Aesir with a rather convincing human disguise (it’s a spell he stole from his sister).
Together, they take odd jobs from town to town, deal with monsters, curses, stolen relics, and avoid death with impressive consistency. Lykö’s raven companion remains disappointed by their refusal to use their perfectly good intelligence.
But some enemies don’t stay lost, and truths never stay buried. Sooner or later, Saefre will have to face what it really means to be a godkiller—and Lykö will discover that no amount of cowardice can outrun the past forever.
