A kelpie who makes her home in the Olden Forest part of the Floret Continent, where many other cryptic creatures dwell; usually harmful ones at that, dangerous to normal humans. Klear tends to not be overly dangerous, however... As long as you stay away from the river she calls home that runs through the Olden Forest, anyways. He guards the river, heavily protective over his home, usually never straying very far from the waters; at one point, he was more kind, friendly, peacefully allowing visitors to the river.
However eventually, Klear had enough of folks polluting the river, throwing things into it and overfishing in it and severely harming the fish population Klear liked to think of as little friends, just overall harming the waters; and on top of that, people tended to be fearful of Klear herself, oftentimes rude if not outright aggressive towards her out of said fear. Thus eventually leading to Klear growing colder and colder over the years, more and more bitter until she finally snapped, now sternly guarding the river as she does now and aggressive towards anyone she deems unworthy to visit it. People attempting to cross the river often get attacked by the territorial kelpie. People who visit the river alone are often never seen again.

Although territorial and aggressive, hateful and unfriendly to everyone and uninterested in conversing or making friends, always so very angry and rude, deep down Klear does have a secret soft spot, albeit he will never admit it and its extremely rare for said softness to make itself known. Only someone kindhearted and patient enough might have any chance of ever seeing such side to Klear.

Klear is the one to eventually lend aid to Meliore, Lennox and Korabeth in getting Korabeth out of the Olden Forest to safety from her old tribe, after much difficult bribery and persuasion just to get Klear to agree to even allow Korabeth to cross the river.
