Original pony OC. Gypsy Bard Lunatic is an earth pony born with a unique magic that rivals even some powerful unicorn magic. Despite this, she never really sought to develop this skill, as this made her feared among common folk; she’s the only one from her clan who is able to use magic.

After her father was framed for a crime he never committed and murdered by the townsfolk, unable to save him as filly, she lost her ability to trust anyone. In a fit of rage, she unintentionally cursed the whole town to have their men die at the exact age her father was when they murdered him: 37 years. When she activated it, all the men of 37 years and up suddenly dropped dead.

She left her home quickly after that, wandering around and being feared by all who only knew her by what she did. One night, she encountered Xiaomu after the latter heard her singing to the moon. Fearing that she too only knew of what she did to the town when they killed her father. she hesitated to let the Deericorn near her.

Xiaomu, curious to know why a mare who sang so well would shy away, decided to talk to her. After a while of chatting away, Gypsy opened up the question.

“Do you know what I’ve done? If so, why talk to me so casually, as if you’re innocent to the crimes I’ve committed?”

Panth only replied that she didn’t know what crimes she was talking about, but felt it was unfair that she should only judge the mare just because she said she did a crime. This broke Gypsy, as no one had ever given her a response like that before in her whole life. She then opened up about her trauma to the Deericorn, explaining how after that incident, she felt unwanted by all who saw her and never asked for her side of the story.

Panth offered to let her stay in the town she was living in at the time, to which Gypsy accepted. She’s been her oldest friend ever since that fateful night, as Panth was the first one she allowed herself to trust in.

Fun fact: Panth was the one who gave her the name Gypsy Bard Lunatic
