In the void before everything, X was born. He had a brother, Z. Z and X were best friends in the void, but when they entered our world, things changed. X desired doom and despair, chaos and confusion, death, and torture. However, Z wanted love, peace, and protection for all. They fought over their differences, but eventually decided to set them aside for a while and explore this new world together.
During their exploration, they discovered Sonic the Hedgehog. Z was fascinated by Sonic's appearance, bravery, and his determination to protect others. X found Tails intriguing for his intelligence and book smarts, which enabled him to achieve anything. Despite this, X preferred Sonic because of his power. Together, they decided to enter a copy of the game
"Sonic the Hedgehog" on the Sega Genesis.
Upon entering this world, Z took Sonic as his vessel and X took Tails as his. However, Z soon realised that their presence caused the characters to become lifelike and experience feelings. He noticed that Sonic was in pain from being used as a vessel, and the same was true for X and Tails. Z pleaded with X to create a copy of Tails' body to control, but X refused, saying he "enjoyed Tails' pain." Horrified, Z created a copy of Sonic to use as a vessel (we will call this body Sonic 2), so the original Sonic would not have to suffer. At that moment, X killed Sonic, gouging out his eyes before rearranging his organs. Z tried to stop him, but X overpowered him. It was too late.
With the original Sonic gone and X taking his place as the strongest piece of code in the game's files, Sonic 2 slowly became corrupted. X could now control the game as he pleased. Z fled the scene and searched through the files until he found a specific type that could help him: a PNG file. Z believed that if X could not see him, then X could not stop him from killing him. Thus, Z became Sonic.PNG, an attempted saviour of X's victims—the opposite of X.a
