A human warrior from Earth, descended from the legendary Goromaru clan. Former World Martial Arts Champion and once-master of the Dragon School. Was chosen by the guardian Korn to be Earth’s protector, and was granted a long life in order to carry out his duties. One of these duties was to share the art of Ki after Cailan re-discovered its existence, which led him to form the Dragon School.

After outliving everyone he loved, Cailan became a recluse and took the surname Donshi to distance himself. Found a child in an alien pod with the name Jocaron inscribed inside, adopted them as his own.

Later adopted an exiled Yardrat named Yup who could not read, speak or write. Adopted them as they did Jocaron, educated them and taught them martial arts.

Fought Jocaron in the 23rd World Tournament to test his readiness to succeed him in taking over the school. Was later found out to have been closely related to Jocaron’s mother, a descendant of former Goromaru clan head Rokuro.
