Born to a long line of Circle of Spores druids in the underdark, Zilvra's family and community were shattered by a mindflayer attack. Left with only her eccentric mother and self-serving adoptive brother, she kept her head down and intended to follow in her family's footsteps -- become a druid, and maintain the Drow settlement's fungal and livestock food sources.
Instead, another mindflayer attack forced Zilvra to the surface to seek aid from other druid communities her mother had befriended -- but her mother, revealed to be an Eilistraeen worshipper, told her to not return, and to wait for her to spirit away other defectors from below.
Instead, Zilvra was promptly captured by an evil fey creature, addling her mind and trapping her in the feywild. A powerful archfey put a stop to the fey usurper and granted Zilvra a pact -- serve him on the surface for one task, and he would repair her mind and grant her warlock powers. Her memories would be returned upon the fulfilment of their pact.
As such, she found herself on the surface with no memory but that she had to complete her patron's mission to regain those memories and get back to... something very important? She met her party and, remaining disguised, joined them, as she recognized she wouldn't be strong enough alone.
One dragon and many cultists' deaths later, Zilvra fulfills her pact and turns down her patron's offer to return to the feywilds. Her memory is restored, and she realizes that it has been 200 years since her mother was supposed to arrive on the surface, and there is no sign of her.
Zilvra's new mission becomes tracking down what happened to her and saving her, if necessary, and the party is along for the ride.
During their adventure, Zilvra falls in love with the party's adopted orc fighter, Mab, and they are very awkward together. It is complicated when her memories return.
She is cunning, observant, and not afraid to decieve to stay safe, but she will do the same for those she loves.
