Almyran mercenary, leading the Auron Company.
Has taken in outcasts, ex-thieves and petty criminals he previously defeated in battle, people who have been ostracized from society, or war orphans who have nowhere else to go.
Uses the derivative name “Caspian” when operating in Fodlan because it sounds less “foreign” and more attractive to clients.
At one point Kaspis had a son, who was supposed to one day take over the company before he was slain far too young by a vengeful nobleman from Fodlan who only saw the colour of his skin.
Found a boy on death’s door after the Tragedy of Duscur. Ordered his band’s two healers to save his life by any means. When he was stabilized, the boy recalled his name was Cassius but recalled little else, and his equipment was far too damaged to identify him from. With little knowledge of Faerghus politics, Kaspis assumed he must have been a knight-apprentice and tried to find what lord he served. Only to have the Duscuri he had taken in after the massacre become a target, forcing the band to flee Faerghus and not return for a long time.
Bonded with Cassius, who eventually seemed to have some deeply rooted recollection that most likely whoever his parents were, they were gone. Kaspis decided to adopt Cassius as his own. Four years later, cutting through Duscur led Cassius to recall that he was Faerghus’ lost Crown Prince. Kaspis brought Cassius to Fhirdiad knowing he would likely have to say goodbye. However, despite being sent to the Officer’s Academy, Cassius wished for Kaspis and his mercenary band to remain in his life. Despite knowing who his father was and retaking the name Blaiddyd, Cassius still wished to honor the adoption and continues to see Kaspis as his second father.
The Auron Company stands ready to help Cassius and Adela however they can.
