Previously, Aylona lived and worked for a wealthy old couple, but her experiences were unpleasant to say the least. They were irresponsible handlers of a dog born with aggressive tendencies. She almost lost her life because of their careless regard for her wellbeing. In response they laughed at her face and blamed her for not being “careful.“ She doesn’t feel safe at her home. 

Her comfort was a stray cat who she feeds in secret. Every midnight, she sneaks to the yard with her leftover scraps wrapped in napkins. It was missing its tail, yet it was still here. Maybe out of spite. Like the scars, physical and invisible, she connected with the stray…

She grew to resent everyone in her home. She hated being patronized, dressed like a doll, dismissed, bitten and snarled at. She laid in bed as every morning began to stretch. She asked herself if this was the rest of her life as a body. Yet when the veterinarian arrived to announce nothing more could be done for the dog, Aylona wept, not for relief that the nightmare had ended, but out of a bitter pity. She recognized a shared existence with it, another tragic product of the couple’s vanity, shaped by cruelty and discarded when broken...

A few months later, Aylona found her exit when she met a doctor during a banquet event. She gladly accepted her offer and abandoned her service, taking the stray cat with her. It passed away with all the love and comfort she promised since that day. Now she’s one of the many efficient smugglers supporting the cause of a faction group. She takes her job seriously and treat her packages with lots of care.
