A godling with too much soul that splits it off into other bodies. Each Flux's middle name is telling of their defining features. As of right now, there are three main Fluxes - Flux Mal, Flux Foley, and Flux Colloid.

Flux Mal is, to put it simply, normal. Normal for being a creature of pure possibility-energy and mischievous chaos, but more or less, normal. Its given title is the Fateweaver, given by the Sightbringers that have come to be wary of the Fluxes it creates with shards of its soul.

Flux Foley is a Flux who's differentiated from Mal personality-wise in that he's slightly more skittish and nervous, and lore-wise in that, soon after being "born", while being chased by Sightbringers, it tripped across and into one of the multiverse god Dreamer's eyes and gained a trans-dimensional concussion. Said concussion also linked Foley directly to its new now liminal home dimension of Soundstage 2B, and beyond that, put parts of Foley's chaotic possibility-energy into most things living and nonliving in Soundstage 2B. 

By now you may be able to more or less tell that the Sightbringers are perhaps antagonists to Flux, though it's more the other way around - a Flux Incident is terrifying, not only because it is few and far between, but because Fluxes have the potential to be all-powerful world-enders. Flux Colloid is the product of an improperly killed Flux Incident, stuck being half-born and forever goopy and distinctly stranger than Mal or Foley.

Most split-off Fluxes, however, are dead. The sightbringers have gotten very good at their jobs since Colloid happened.
