Hello and welcome to ¡Viva la Revolución! A Hispanic Heritage Month event.
[Before anyone asks, “Isn’t that a bit offensive?” I say no cuz the French used it first.]

Now, onto what this event is. This event celebrates how the Hispanic communities have influenced and contributed to American society. And like my last event, I want you to show your support by making a drawing that involves the Hispanic culture. This can be demonstrated by respect to the food, music, culture, or anything related to the culture, and what they did to shape America. It can also be stuff throughout history or an event you were a part of. There's no wrong answer to this. It just has to be meaningful, and that you want to get to know a culture and its heritage.

I know, like myself, who is part of the community, has Hispanic characters, or is inspired by some of the culture. I posed a challenge to you, who has such a character, or is part of the community. Every year, there is a theme to Hispanic Heritage month, and this year theme is Collective Heritage: Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future. That is the theme, and I want you to draw or write what that means to you. That is the challenge that I want to see in your drawing or storytelling. How your characters can honor their ancestors but still inspire the next generation.
