Born into her family through infidelity, everyone had been expecting Casimir to inherit her family’s fortune, that was until Callista, by all accounts a miracle as their mother had not been able to bear children previously gave birth to a true heir. Even at a young age, Casimir could tell things were different, gossip becoming more blatant, her family’s attention now falling on the new child, and the privileges she once enjoyed being pulled out from under her. Returning, she’d expected some sort of event to celebrate, but would find nothing of the sort, her sister (15 at that time) had grown fast into her role, And Casimir was officially set aside. Now Cas couldn’t completely blame her parents knowing she’d do the same in their shoes, their reputation was at stake after all, but what she resented them so deeply for instead, was to offer her a spot as her sister’s personal attendant and guard. A position perfect for her to fall out into irrelevancy, an easy way for her to be forgotten, for their mistakes to be forgotten by everyone. And though she wanted to argue, Cas reserved herself to accepting their offer if only to buy time to ruin them and her sister completely.
