Girl who brings a sort of unearthly vibe to the function, very observant (never seems to blink?), intelligent, consistently underestimated due to her unconventional speech patterns - after leaving the ruins of a small, recently collapsed commune (which did not treat her particularly well), she meets Chelwyn searching for his missing sister - the two become immediately attached and with her only other option being to wander the post-apocalyptic world alone, Solveig decides to go with him

World summary: human contact with extraterrestrial beings leaves catastrophe in its wake and results in the creation of Orkonyths, monster-like entities made entirely from high frequency electromagnetic radiation - these creatures ‘feed’ on lower frequency EM radiation to survive, which causes disruption to electrical systems, including the brain. Decades later, Solveig and Chelowyn traverse this post-apocalyptic world, exploring numerous regions which have coped with the Orkonyth threat in various ways.
