BACKGROUND

Vaquita grew up in the Ingido Archipelago, a collection of islands just south of the Rainforest Kingdom. The islands are inhabited by rogue seawings, living in their own society separate from the Sea Kingdom, many of which being descendants of ancient seawings Fathom and Indigo. Vaquita is a descendent of the two dragons, which is where she recieved her Animus power. Animus dragons are practically worshipped in the Indigo Archipelago- many of them are considered royalty so there’s no hierarchy like that of the Sea Kingdom’s. Animus dragons, when they are present, typically take charge and guide the ground.
Vaquita travelled to the Sea Kingdom when she was six, and introduced herself as a royal, but kept her magic a secret- she was subtly aware of how Queen Coral used her daughter, Anemone, for her Animus magic. Vaquita wanted to use her magic for whatever SHE wanted, as much as she wanted. And that’s exactly what she did.
She took up a job as a pearl diver, and rose among the ranks to be chosen as Queen Coral!s personal pearl diver.
She’s extremely reckless with her magic, and quite entitled due to her being praised and essentially worshipped among her home community. She’s cunning and manipulative, and she knows how to get what she wants, whether it be with her magic or her own skill.
Her Rainwing genes make her scales appear more vibrant compared fo other Seawings. She can change the colors of her scales between a certain range of colors and shades, but she typically doesn’t. She also has retractable fangs that can spit venom, and frills on her face and body., which typically flare up when she does spit venom. Her genetics do make her a very weak flier, weaker than the average Seawing.
