Impossible to please and ever-demanding – Life is a very difficult person to have as a boss. Unfortunately for everyone else, they're in charge of Existence Inc. and by extension Earth itself. The only saving grace is their inability to enforce that authority.

Most of Life's staff are hard-pressed to follow the commands of a little tree who thinks he's better than everyone. The only reason Life even gets to be in charge is their own insistance on it and the fact that Death is backing them up. Nobody wants to pick a fight with the god of death, no matter how harmless they may seem, and Life always has them looming in the back, carrying the tree to their daily meetings.
