Once every hundred years, each kingdom has to revitalize the rainbow prism, which powers and protects the 7 kingdoms. The problem is the prism runs on unity and working together, and all the princesses (the ones that represent each kingdom lowkey hate each other). she more so based on French and English royalty in the late 1700s
