Nalu’Ina

The ocean planet of Nalu'Ina is almost completely covered by the sea and, faced with the high temperatures caused by its proximity to the sun, it was in the depths of the ocean that its life was able to thrive.

With no continents to divide them, the bright and vibrant communities of Nalu'Ina have always been able to share and dialogue with one another, allowing them to swiftly develop their own technology to improve their life beneath the waves.

Even with the Dawn of Navigations, extraplanetary contact with Nalu'Ina inhabitants was delayed by the natural barrier of the ocean. Once overcome, their neighbors discovered that they had very little to offer or gain from Nalu'Ina, since their entire society, culture and technology had been developed for a lifestyle completely alien to the others.

But that doesn't mean that the Nalus’ would be completely isolated for long. Seeing new opportunities to expand their ideals of progress, various industries in XOM-475f invested in adapting their own technology for the underwater world, as well as developing means for other species to inhabit and move around in the depths.

Suddenly, the Nalus’ were not only properly equipped to receive visitors, but also in possession of technology like they had never seen before. At first, this resulted in an economic renaissance for the planet, especially in the tourism and hotel business, which put the Nalu'Ina on the map and opened up possibilities for its cosmopolitanization.

However, what the Nalus’ couldn't foresee was that interplanetary exchange and the constant flood of products developed by XOM-475f into their market were displacing their culture and forcing them to radically change their way of life.

Without industrial self-sufficiency and already dependent on foreign technology to live this new reality, Nalu'Ina found itself without the resources needed to project itself politically, becoming hostage to foreign capital and putting it in constant scenarios of economic crises.
