Cassie is a 24 year old professional ballerina who teaches young kids in her area both ballet and foreign languages (mainly Japanese)

Cassie was born in Japan, but she spent her entire childhood moving around the world due to parents' work. She usually lived in either: the U.S, Brazil, Japan, Italy, or the U.K.
Since she was never able to have a consistent life or close friends for more than a year, her mental health struggled greatly most of her childhood, and even though this was unfortunate for her then, it built a strong personality and a person who's not scared of change and unexpected circumstances. Though most of her life wasn't consistent, her parents made sure to give her at least one constant, and that was ballet. Ballet became her sole passion for most of her childhood, and these fond memories of her countless times at ballet and her teachers inspired her to be a teacher herself. She now teaches at a small studio she purchased herself in Maine, and employs her best friend Tiffany to help with her productions. Even though she has her own business, she makes most of her money from featuring in shows across the country, being the star for most of these events.

With Tiffany: Cassie's relationship with Tiffany is complex and (unfortunately) full of internalized homophobia. She loves Tiffany in every way that a friend should, but this closeness developed significantly over time to the point where the feelings started veering towards romantic in a way that, at first, Cassie couldn't comprehend. As she debated over these feelings she realized that she did, in fact, love Tiffany. And this was not something that she was prepared for. Growing up, she had only ever dated men, and her parents had always made their sour opinions on queer love known. She internalized some of these beliefs, and even though she doesn't live with/near her parents anymore, she still feels those influences.
