Dahlia is a fierce contestant of Alien Stage, closely monitored to make sure she never escaped. Only, she had no plans to.
At a young age, Dahlia's segyein guardian Ithyll made it clear how she was to act. Lessons of ferocity and ruthlessness were harshly drilled into her to ensure she would flourish in Alien Stage. Despite cruel punishments, however, Dahlia refused to abide by such teachings, and often would be deprived of bedding, or time in the garden.
Her source of solace in the brutal days of her childhood was her friend. Someone to laugh with, tell secrets, and rely on to always support each other. Many sessions spent the the garden were spent singing and playing with her friend, allowing her to temporarily forget Ithyll's lessons.
But that all changed on the day of selection for Alien Stage contestants. Her friend was poisoned and had to be nursed back to health. Upon finding out that the poison was Ithyll's doing, Dahlia snapped.
It only went downhill when her friend escaped and joined the rebellion. Dahlia's once-bright nature was taken over by bitterness and regret. She started to embrace what she was taught by Ithyll thanks to a newfound determination to win Alien Stage so that she could tear the competition apart to avenge her friend. Dahlia was slowly taken over by her desire for vengeance, using aggressive techniques in the contests to get under the skin of her opponents and use intimidation to win rounds.
