Abandoned by his mother at a very young age he's been searching for another Selkie for ages never being able to find one alone he ends up getting help from a crew of sailors who see him as their good luck charm while sailing the seas. Iankar is closest friends with the captain Kaelen and a fisherman named Borin.
Though Iankar has a hard time trusting sailors as he has trauma from getting caught in a fish net and almost drowned. He is trying to get over his fears.
