Sonya is the daughter of farmers in an elven village in a forest near the Western coast of Khennariod. Because of her exceptional affinity to magic, she became the apprentice of the local mage really early on. While that status brought her lots of respect from the townspeople, she still makes good friends with the other children her age.
She's determined in her studies and will use her learned skills to help the people in their day-to-day life when asked.
When the day of the end of the first part of her apprenticeship comes, she's nervous and excited. That's the day she can choose her name and pronouns and go on missions by herself or with her friends, which is much more safe, because the outsides of the village aren't all that peaceful. Still, Sonya shows some proficience in tactical thinking and using her environment to her advantage. That way, even though she isn't super trained in combat, solitary missions in the nearby forest become manageable.
