Ezra is sort of like a werewolf in the sense where he transforms into a monster, but when he transforms it’s him being possessed by a deity that contacted him and essentially groomed him as a child. He is not in control when he possessed, but there are different levels of this possession, it ranging from him still being human and it being easier for him to get taken out of the possession and can easily and frequently done especially in short bursts by the deity, this also the one I depict the most with the yellow and red eyes, I also imagine that his would also do the greeny glow effect that animals do in certain lighting, to the actual beast form where the deity is fully in control of when Ezra is no longer like this, but this is harder for them to do so it’s sort of to them like if they do it it needs to be worth it so when Ezra is in this level of possession, it often lasts a long time even on some occasions lasting 1-2 years. When hes in the lower levels of possessions he can be very uncanny as he moves in a manner that would be more akin to an animal or like something thats generally not used to moving a human body around, which often creeps out his roommate Soren if he sees him like that (bc he doesn’t know about the deity stuff). Ezra also has the worst doomed situationship with Soren bc they low-key love each other but obviously Ezra’s keeping a pretty big secret and he’s scared of commitment bc he blames himself for those who his beast form have killed and he has an underlying fear that he will end up killing the people close to him (he prolly wouldn’t live with Soren if it weren’t for the fact that he can’t get a job and needs somewhere to stay so he can like live basically but also he just generally has conflicted feelingssssssss) there’s also some other stuff going on with his family and the deity which is why he like still somewhat trusts them and stuff but I haven’t rlly fleshed it out yet.
