Home Life:

Cordelia is the daughter of a highly successful spice merchant. Her father being so well-to-do has afforded her a certain amount of privilege, but it also means she has constant eyes on her. Cordelia is a busy girl. She’s in ballet, which eats up a lot of her time. Also she’s constantly being dragged along to events with her social butterfly of a mother. She’s under a lot of pressure, both from her parents and herself.

Personality:

Cordelia herself is good at playing social when she needs to, but she’d much rather be exploring an old cemetery, or reading ghost stories. Her parents detest her taste for the macabre, so she’s learned to keep it to herself, but she loves anything spooky! As a result, she’s often seen as the cold and mysterious “cool girl” type. She’s well liked in most circles of nobility, but not for who she truly is. People like the carefully constructed mask Cordelia’s parents have built for her. Nothing more.

Life at Rosaluna:

Cordelia’s mother is a Rosaluna alumni herself, so joining the academy was only natural. For the first time in her life, Cordelia has been gifted just the tiniest bit of freedom. She’s living at a boarding school, away from her parents and their watchful eyes. Of course, freedom comes with strings. When Cordelia’s mother attended the academy, she was a part of the prestigious Order of the Marzipan Rose, a very exclusive club shrouded in secrecy. Of course, Cordelia is expected to follow in her mother’s footsteps.

Cordelia and Evie:

The Bardales family and the Abeille family run in similar circles. Both families are rather well to-do, and often attend the same events. There is some sort of sordid history between Cordelia’s mother and Evie’s mother that no one talks about, and because of that the girls don’t interact very often. Still…for some reason, whenever Cordelia sees Evie, her face gets hot and her heart pounds really fast!
