Theia was a Vishkayan Woman who attended a ball hosted by her city's Lord, asking for anyone to attend who would like a chance to be his wife. Unbeknownst to the population, the Lord was a Vampire who was using the ball as a way to find and impregnate someone, then turn them in order to have a Dhampir child.

Theia was chosen by the Lord, and after being married, did go through this process. She hadn't realized she would be turned undead, however, and fled the castle after she was able to break the control she was under as his spawn. She sought out a Fey disguised as a sorcerer, who she bargained with to remove her vampire weaknesses - all the Fey asked for in return was her firstborn child. Unaware that a child would turn into a Dhampir during the mother's vampirification, and thinking she could no longer have kids due to being undead, she agreed, thinking she had outsmarted the man, not realizing that the Fey knew she was already pregnant and that the deal was binding.

She continued to travel across the country away from the Vampire Lord. It wasn't until 3 months had passed that she realized she was starting to form a baby bump, and that she had been pregnant when she made the deal. She realized that if the man knew about her pregnancy before she did, he was likely no ordinary man, and was probably a Fey in disguise. Fearing for her child's life and not wanting to give it to the Fey anymore, she decided to begin turning civilians into her spawn in order to raise an army to attack the Fey and force them to revoke the deal she'd made. When some adventurers came across the town she was turning, they fought her, then listened to her and realized her predicament. They offered to travel to the Fey in her stead as long as she stopped turning people into vampires to serve her, and she agreed.
