A 2 mile long serpent shaped creature with luminescent eyes along the top ridge of it's body.

The Abyssal Currents swim with their eyes facing downwards so they can scan the bottom of the oceans for food. Despite the menacing appearance The great current does not seem to impose threat to sentient species on purpose. However given it's size it can cause unstable riptides that drag unsuspecting divers to the deep trenches of the sea, and while not common, sometimes they can scoop people up in their mouths while sifting through large gulps of sediment off of the sea floor in shallower waters.
