Sandor is a caspian gull, an adventurous sailor with a strong love for the homeland. He comes from South-City and the humorous culture he's carrying everywhere has saved his and the crew's life many times.

Just like everyone in the city, Sandor is very cunning and sly: he always outsmarts the rogues who try to mess with him. He is very interested in science and philosophy, pondering together with his best childhood friend, falcon Tinegal.

He's co-leader of a Ukrainian klezmer-chanson band called Bluequill, consisting of two pigeons, a magpie and a crow. He usually plays the guitar and is the vocalist. Does the arranging and organizational work, but as a part-time sailor, trusts most of the job to Reshka.

Besides that, Sandor is a self-proclaimed journalist. Whenever he’s travelling, he never misses an opportunity to investigate and observe something that would be interesting to write an article about. He keeps his town up to date and brings stories from abroad, but refuses to work with the official newspaper that would limit his freedom and turn the hobby into a job.

Despite the rank and reputation he earned after fighting in the Great Avian War, he doesn't stick around the big dogs and prefers his old simple friends. He may have a sense of honour, but his sense of freedom is much stronger and sometimes he may seem frivolous and unwavering for such a job.
