The Sanctuary was safeguarded for over 2,000 years, hidden from the prying eyes of the galaxy to preserve humanity's natural state should extinction loom. Those selected for the program were tested for potential contributions to future societies before entering cryostasis. Among these fortunate few, Dia was granted the privilege of venturing across the stars with her family. However, they never woke up at the same time.

Dia’s brothers had long since awakened and lived their lives. Her fathers remain preserved for opportunities worthy of them. For now, there is only Dia. The Bayarmaa is marked by the technological skill and social adaptability desired for a mission centered on universal preservation. If there’s one thing she doesn’t lack, it’s time.

Recruited by an overseer of the Sanctuary, Dia assumed the role of technician for the Lighthouse space station. She was given no time to mourn her brothers or to struggle with adapting to the tech age; she could only learn and act. Thankfully, that was something she excelled at. She supported her crew with her skills, firmly believing this was a display of free will. Kill “it,” return home, and live the life she had long awaited with the family that remained. But things are never within her control.
