Mal is a vampire-unseelie hybrid who has been alive since 1830. he’s not rly a nice person…he’s polite and charming, but i wouldn’t say nice. he’s kinda manipulative, selfish, and possessive. he has this bad habit of becoming infatuated with a human every few years. he will treat the object of his affectation like royalty…until he is no longer interested, then you might as well be dirt on his expensive boots. he loves luxury & excess. there ARE reasons he’s such a jerk, but he doesn’t like to talk about them. he is huge disappointment to his parents for dropping out of magic school, but he really didn’t need it because he is naturally gifted in that area. he’s just a charming rebel who loooooves attention. he also loves to dunk on his little sister (Toil), who kinda hates him but still tolerates him for some reason even tho he’s nothing but trouble for the whole family.
