Butch is an enchanted and life-size ball-jointed doll that occupies the bedrooms of Belcourt Manor. his job was to ease the mind of the Maestro that made him if she felt stressed and/or overwhelmed and was meant to be a source of solace, but this was before she teleported the mansion to Earth and mysteriously disappeared without explanation.
He is the only doll to be appointed to multiple rooms in the mansion, meaning he is not only appointed to the master bedroom, but the other four guest bedrooms as well. That being said, he spends most of his time in bed sleeping in the master bedroom, dreaming of the day his when the Maestro returns.
He is the only doll in the Belcourt manor to not be fully made of porcelain; the only parts of him that are, are his head, his hands and feet, and the ball joints themselves, everything else is made of cotton fabric and stuffed with wool; he also has thin wooden dowels in his limbs to serve as a skeleton, if you will. He was made this way to be agreeable to the desire of others for physical comfort.
There is a locked wooden box under the bed in the master bedroom that the Maestro told Butch to only open when the time was right, but she disappeared before she could tell him when that time was, and the key to the box still lies somewhere in the library.
