Silly scorpion demon lady who guards a mysterious Labyrinth on the Terra Continent, said to possess portals to other worlds, amongst other secrets; yet deemed too dangerous for mere mortals to traverse, leading to a group gathering and taking up the role of guarding it throughout generations, preventing others from entering the Labyrinth & inevitably dying to what's held within... And preventing anything from anything leaving it, too, should something one day somehow make its way through the rumored portals hidden within.

A very happy-go-lucky lady, Veratie means nothing but well to everyone she meets, perhaps too friendly & carefree for her own good, very much naive & very gullible; still, she takes her role as Labyrinth Guardian (mostly) serious, dutifully stopping people from entering the Labyrinth & on rare occasion having to fetch people from within if they snuck past her. (Though after they reach a certain point, if she doesn't manage to catch up to them in time, they are considered a lost cause Veratie has been warned never to tread too deep into the maze)

Immensely curious natured, its not uncommon for Veratie to wander off in her free time for exploring or an 'adventure', or simply because something caught her attention & distracted her. Wants friends to play & explore with, but unfortunately, the fact she's a scorpion (& a demon at that) intimidates people, & her terrible tendency to accidentally sting people when startled does not help Veratie's unfortunately scary reputation despite her being very much happy friendly puppy energy contrary to folks' beliefs.

Veratie isn't really aware of her demon lineage despite her horns & inhuman abilities that include a long, possibly even immortal lifespan; she has watched many around her grow old & perish, & doesn't understand why she doesn't seem to age along with them & gets rather sad about it at times. Father was never in the picture, & mother never bothered to explain to Veratie about her heritage.
