Vance is a lavender colored bird-ish T-boy and the main protagonist of Fortean Complex. He walked inside the structure one night after he got a bit lost trying to walk home during a snow storm. Not long after entering, he met Loey, the two becoming friends out of both genuine compatibility and pure necessity. Together they vastly increased their chances of surviving the whole ordeal.

Before he was in the Complex, he didn't have much going on for him. He'd finally quit school and started looking for any job he could get, but never getting any calls back. Vance doesn't know what he wants to do with his life, and feels very aimless and lonely. He has many different small hobbies, but no "one true calling," something he feels he needs. He likes to write short stories, photograph nature (particularly macro photos of bugs), explore random places, play old video games, make crafts with paper, and collect lots of music in various formats. He kinda believes all of that stuff is lame, though.
