While a girl from Mitonga island travels across Alola, a girl from Sinnoh travels across Kalos.

Lilia was born as a child of the forest in Eterna Forest, a chilly, maze-like forest where time seems to stand still. But time flows and space expands, and one day she was brought into the care of a couple in Eterna City. Deeply fascinated by medicinal plants used by humans that she herself had used as a child, Lilia began to study medicine in earnest, soaking up local history and enough knowledge for her parents to send her to a school in Hoenn, known for it’s practical applications in studies.

While her ability to communicate with Pokémon has always been a closely guarded secret, it allows her to treat Pokémon’s illness and injury spectacularly, quickly rocketing to the top of her class in practical Pokémon care. Eventually, Lilia was partnered with a Treecko she named ‘Sunny’, a curious little grass-type who Lilia quickly came to adore.

When it came to summer regional assignments, Lilia was picked to visit Kalos - something her group quickly decided was an opportunity for greater study. Lilia herself became entranced by the natural beauty of Kalos and its Pokémon, picking up a camera in advance for the trip. Due to Sunny’s species’ natural battle drive, Lilia felt obligated to become a skilled enough trainer to help him become stronger - with the two concepts combined, Lilia began to study Pokémon moves (becoming slightly envious of the Alola group in the process).

Lilia’s comfort in the natural world grants her a fearless attitude when it comes to finding the best photo locations, and she has a certain persistence when it comes to getting the best shots. Asking Sunny to take photos from walls he can climb isn’t uncommon for her.
