Charly's always annoyed. With family, keeping friendships, and just life in general. They blame themself fully for everything that's happened in the past 5-6 years. And everyone else seems to blame Charly too, especially for Malice going missing because she was the last person to talk to her. Charly is the only human in the entire town of Greensville, and that somewhat scares some of the residents who don't know her as well. But Charly has a plan to fix things. Charly will find a way to go back and change the big decision that changed her life for the worst... no matter what it takes. Not that she actually cares about saving the world or anything. She mostly cares about herself, and how everything affects her. So what if people die or disappear? So what if randomly, in the past few years, the amount of humans no-clipping (backrooms ooooh) into Everland increased? Does that make her selfish? Morally grey? At the end of the day, Charly doesn't want to be a hero, they just want to live a normal life, or maybe turn invisible. That would be nice.
With my characters, I like to make them based on tropes-ish. Like for example, Vi is a play on the "girl next door trope." In this case, Charly is a play on "what if the hero refuses the quest?" and they have to face the consequences and eventually face the threat to Everland. She constantly pushes people away (especially Vi) because deep down, she's worried that if they become too close, something terrible will happen to them too.
