Another one of my dnd Characters! Kri is a bard who has a bit of trouble letting themself play music.

Note: The campaign I used them in never got anywhere, so they're also a normal oc.

Kri was born to a wealthy aarakocra family in a village, known for their riches and intellect. Kri however didn't enjoy much of what her parents wanted her to do. She enjoyed music, which was seen as a weak trait, "Not suitable for the family name".

And so, her parents kept her away from music, which meant keeping her away from the village outside. The village was known for its music, so obviously her parents didn't want her interacting with it.

Isolated and alone, Kri never got the social interaction they were meant to have. And well, that does things to a curious bird.

Kri manages to get out of the house, following the call to music. But their father caught them escaping, and in a scuffle, Kri's wings were permanently damaged.

But they were able to escape, wounded yet free. They pass out in front of a tavern, and the tavern owner takes them in. The man shows Kri the ways of a bard, despite Kri's hesitation due to their parents' shadow.

Kri eventually moves on, thanking the man for what he's done, and goes off on their own adventure around the world, performing in spite of their parents.

Which leads them to an abandoned castle... with a few other strangers with them.
