This character is only visible from the 1st through the 31st of October
No one knows what caused him to deserve this fate, but one thing is for certain, you do not want to get on his bad side.
He awakens as soon as October opens, riding a stagecoach drawn by six horses by night and asleep by day. He was dubbed the guardian of the veil of the dead; he rides through neighborhoods and cemeteries, keeping watch over the living world, making sure they do not disrespect the souls of those who have passed during the time of the year where the veil between the living and the dead is the thinnest. If he finds out you have been broken this rule, he will haunt you and trick you, and if you do not stop, he will chase you down, ready to snap his whip at you, a whip that looks like a human spine. If you have been good and have been respecting those that have passed, he will approach you on foot and reward you with sweets. At the end of the month at midnight, he retreats into the shadows until next year.
However, he is not human, Ciarán is a Dullahan, a man with his head separate from his body; but a unique thing about him is that, unlike normal dullahans, he is completely unable to sense when someone is about to die.
When interacting with those who respect the dead, he keeps his head on his shoulders, fastened with an enchanted bandage to act as a neck as to not scare the innocent. But when dealing with disrespectful scoundrels, he rides with his head in his hand or sitting on a pedestal in front of him, laughing maniacally!
If you are lucky enough to find his coach during the day, parked deep in the woods with him and his six horses fast asleep, he just might come out to say hi.
