”To walk without a name is to walk without a heart— without humanity. Forevermore does the wolf beg for a heart to beat, seldom realizing mighty he begs ne’er will grant it.”
Pim Warne… a boy far too young for the position thrust upon him, but far too proud to ever refuse it.
After a sudden accident that left the former Wolf Crier— his father— crippled, Pim was met face-to-face with a responsibility he was never taught how to properly bear.
How does one go from being a carefree kid to the protector of an entire village overnight? Moreover, how is he expected to guide those that believe the wicked whispers of the Wolf Crier and not harbour a boiling resentment?
These musings are ones that frequent Pim’s frustrated conscious, shouted out into the silent forest for no soul to hear. No one must ever hear them, lest they lose faith in the name he never wanted to possess.
Though, what happens when someone does hear? And for once, listens?
