One of the main characters in my current WIP: Game of Light

A mysterious dark magician who hails from the kingdom of Klovernall. They seemed to materialize one day in the library at Landon Wylde Institute of History and Magic, and that’s where they have remained ever since.

Ian has spent most of their young adult life searching for the truth behind the origin of magic and the nature of the gods. Though their motivations are kept close to their chest, their dedication is plain to see; the records they keep are undoubtedly the most detailed and accurate in all of Kaard.

Though they don’t technically live in the library anymore, they spend most of their time there, hence have gained a reputation as a recluse. Therefore, it comes as a great shock when they are asked to join Prince Samson of Harmory on a quest (of currently unknown purpose). Nonetheless, they agree (if only because they are enthralled by Sammy’s quiet intellect, and gentle nature).

Deep down, Ian wants nothing more than to find a sense of peace and love they once lost. But though they see the beauty that exists in the world of Kaard, they know far too well of the wickedness that dwells bellow; and they believe that they will never be able to join the world again without causing it to awaken.

Still, intrigue trumps fear, and they follow where their new friends take them; after all, they might lead to the very knowledge they’ve longed for.
