Ra’saíl is an energetic young Nalu who spends most of his time looking after livestock—folks gotta eat, after all. He was born and raised in a backwater (haha) town and still prefers that over being in a big city. Despite that, he still often undertakes trips into the cities as one of the youngest employees of the family business.
See, Ra’saíl’s family are still rather… traditional. Much of his family refuse to touch as much Xomianite technology as they possibly can. This is advertised as “traditionally raised/harvested produce, instead of the refusal it is. This does mean Ra’saíl haas family members that are participating in the fight against modern ways of living.
On the other hand, Ra’saíl sees the benefits to both, and often struggles to understand what stance to take—thankfully, he spends most of his time away from the more pushy of his relatives, so he’s happy enough bring around the creatures they’re raising.
As the most curious and open of his family, Ra’saíl is actually mostly in charge of public relations despite his age in comparison to the rest of the business’s employees. This puts a bit of a damper on his more adventurous spirit, leaving him antsy and impatient when in a situation where it would be polite and/or required to sit still and quietly.
Ra’saíl is most at home when around sea life instead of other Nalu. Though loyal, he tends to be loyal to a fault, leading to a lot of internal conflict when it comes to building or breaking relationships. He hopes the wider conflict on Nalu’Ina is peacefully resolved in a way that placates both sides; he doesn’t want to have to choose sides.
He also knows that one day he really might have to, anyway.
