Ekua'Lu is a native of the planet Nalu'Ina. Having been raised on the traditions of his ancestors, he believes the dependence upon foreign technology is both ignorant to the ways of their people and a foolish way to pursue a future they can be proud of. Due to this, he was easily turned into a guerilla, helping to rebel against the things XOM-475f had built on their planet, including breaking barriers or vents meant to provide air to those unable to breath their planet's waters, and sinking ports on the planet's surface.

Ekua'Lu uses his Kalek'Erti Spear for multiple purposes. While he has completed his hunter rites and has made use of its intended purpose for hunting smaller aquatic animals or protecting others from more predatory ones, he has also caused it to gain a new meaning for the rebellion. Ekua'Lu, while participating in guerrilla raids, also uses his spear to damage pressurized suits, breathing apparatuses, and any cloth-like imports.

Due to his natural coloration and shape of his clothes, he's best at underwater stealth, blending into the watery surroundings with his lower half appearing similar to a fish tail.
