Hugo ♂ is a gigantic space tanuki, based on the Japanese raccoon dog, who spends much of his existence floating through the cosmos... sleeping, and eating nebula clouds. He doesn't have a care, in the universe (literally & figuratively)!

Despite his enormous appetite, Hugo absolutely cannot stand anything, AT ALL, that wriggles in his mouth! If he feels even the slightest ounce of movement, he's spitting it light years away!

Hugo's origins remain a mystery, but he definitely came from the universe. It is theorized he was born from a star exploding, or that he emerged from a nebula 'egg' cloud. His appetite is so huge, it could probably be believable he could have eaten his way out of his own 'egg'!

Hugo is capable of shapeshifting, expanding his body to absolutely astronomical proportions. He could become as enormous as a planet!

Cosmic entities like Hugo do not necessarily age the same way ordinary living creatures do. Their physical appearances can reflect their intellectual, even emotional, development. It's not the normal path of passage of time, as we understand it. For example: an entity with a childlike mentality, may appear younger. While one that develops greater knowledge, understanding, and maturity, may take on an older appearance.

Despite his extraordinary abilities, Hugo isn't particularly interested in the affairs of the universe. For much of his existence, he's been content with eating, sleeping, and keeping to himself. If anything he is too lazy to even notice things going on around him. His enormous power doesn't necessarily mean he possesses the wisdom, or maturity, one might expect from such a being.

However, an unexpected situation happens to him one day, which sends him to Earth. When there, he has an encounter with a peculiar little creature named Turtlecat. Meeting her might change Hugo's existence, and mind, more than he could ever imagine...
