Funfact: Milo primarily straightened his hair after the War due to the fact he didn't feel worthy enough to keep it in its natural state. Which was tied to the whole Angel half( since y'know Halo? Get it ..) 

Although it does appear again when he is in his angel form ironically,which is a constant reminder that it's constantly there .( This also could be a metaphor for internalized Homophobia if you really think about it)

Anyways might start drawing his angel form more often . Also to explain the whole Vampiric nature 

The immortality is tied to the vampire side,which now he has to constantly drink blood to keep up with the immortality. Which in tern keeps the Angelic form in tact. When he doesn't..well just hope he doesn't .
