Witchscorn is a dieselpunk fantasy alternate history 
The year is 1929, 10 years after the intended end of ww1. the Butchering of Versailles almost killed every European dignitary, so peace was no longer on the table for the near future. the war very quickly mechanized, and old powers made themselves known

witches have been hiden among humanity for some time now, and they finally made themselves known to the European powers. their ultimate neutrality angered the powers, so humanity secretly work to gain the witches power for themselves.

Unfortunately for man, the power of witchcraft is unknown to even the witches themselves. Their secret sanctuaries possess knowledge in languages long forgotten. They don’t know how to comprehend how to comprehend what their existence means. 

Witches used to be human, but ritual and death have shaped them into shards of soul puppeteering forms of the elements they control. Their are six elements known to mages, each one locked by ritual death: Aquamancy, Pyromancy, Floromancy, Vitamancy, Geomancy, and the newest, Electromancy. 

Lastly, recent attacks on witch sanctuaries have caused the lifeblood, important for witch rituals, to spill out to the world, causing dangerous effects on people and wildlife. The world is changing, and no one knows how much. It appears certain individuals are being affected by a new “Witchscorn” killing many, and dramatically changing a select few. Who knows what this means for this world of mechanization and magic. May the Witch Order protect you. So long
