Nikolas is convinced that when he closes his eyes, the man will appear. Not an ordinary man, no, not his usual fantasies about other men. Nikolas you freak. This one, this one is different, and he- no- *it* spoke to him. *It* wasn’t a man at all, it was some freakish snake resembling a man. And it told him what to do, with a high price for disobedience.
