Morningdance, the acting herbalist of ThrushClan, has been having nightmares since the day her parents were brutally murdered by a fox. Horrible images, cries, and the constant feeling of helplessness, desperation and fear are plaguing her. There is a message hidden in her dreams, a message that will shake the very foundations of her clan.
But she herself has to hide a terrible truth as well.
Other cats are starting to become suspicious. Something is wrong in the Clan, lies buried deep in past are starting to surface.
And Morningdance can't help but wonder if there is any hope left.

At the same time, newly made warrior Specklefur is having the same nightmares and visions. But unlike Morningdance, she has nothing to hide. Nothing to fear. Nothing to lose.

Fading Stars takes place in the Land.
