The hunt is on! Who will seize the crown first - its worthy bearer of great kindness, a former General with dreams of a societal reset, or a power-hungry tyrant from the shadows?

It’s a mostly usual day on the Combai Islands… until everything that could go wrong somehow does. What is this, some sort of plot convenient calamity? Damn you, fate!

Nonetheless, it looks like the hunt is on - a former General by the name of Pouri has gone and stolen the Combai Monarch’s crown, which is probably THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEM IN THE REGION! Worse yet, an olden threat has been left with no surveillance, meaning they too are able to run around and wreak havoc upon the lands…

Luckily, some guy fell from the sky and is fixing literally every problem they could possibly solve. Awesome! Their name is Smiles and their sole objective is to save people. Why? Nobody really knows. (Everyone’s come to the conclusion they’re probably one of those “silent protagonist” types.) But they’re forming a team of silly little friends to restore everything to normal, so why should we complain?

Join them on a journey to learn about the dysfunctional and nonsensical world around them… and to prevent the monarch’s crown from falling into the wrong hands for long, but that’s just an added bonus, of course!
