The Circus World
Was created from the imaginations of people and a hint of magic. Think of it like an alternate world to Earth fueled by creativity, whimsy, and imagination! You require a magic portal to travel there, but no human has the knowledge of its existence. Any clowns in the real world are likely from this place.

The First Clowns
In the days of olde, there were monarchs who needed entertainment. As if out of nowhere, a jester would appear and offer their services to the kings and queens and the royal court. The jesters were considered the first clowns. As the world modernized and people's imaginations expanded, clowns in the Circus World became more diverse.

Connected Imagination
Each clown in the Circus World is tied to a person in the real world: the person that brought that clown into being. Say that a couple begins a family in the real world, a clown couple will also begin a family in the Circus World. The kids of said couple will be connected to the kids of said clown couple. The person who is connected to a clown simply begins things for the clown. The clown still has free will and a unique personality, but things that happen to the person may have some effect on the clown.

Corrupted Imagination
Since people in the real world may use their imagination for terrible things, it has a direct affect on the Circus World. This gave birth to evil and killer clowns in the Circus World. If someone were to commit a crime like murder, this would create a killer clown whose power would vary on the severity of the murder.
