‘Apple of My Eye’ or AOME for short is an upcoming webtoon centered around 2 teenagers in modern time Downtown Manhattan, NYC, Ariana Cabrera and Xavier Zixuan. This world is a bit different from ours, ridden with mutilated amalgamations born from manifestations of extreme negative emotions known as demons. These demons are known to destroy and kill anything it can see, and must be killed on sight once they are born.

This is where superheroes come into play, where dormant gods choose a child to create a death pact with, fusing their souls into a piece of hidden jewelry called a “receptacle” that helps them transform and gifting them powers in exchange for soul essence collected by demons which feeds the god, furthering the contract. This is inevitable, and children forced into this must fight off demons until they are inevitably killed or die an early death, for the oldest only live to 45 years old. 

Recently, a strange phenomenon has occurred since Ari came to New York City following her mother’s death. Demons have started to attach to the average people that manifest them through their negative emotions, bonding with a receptacle or object to create ‘corruption’. This is where the demon will take over the person’s mind and control them, morphing their physical form and causing them to lash out and become violent. Micpapalotl (Ari) and Xiongmao (Xavier) have to defeat the demons and balance their complicated teenage drama filled lives and their secret identities all together, creating a stressful life soon to unravel as the demons progress.
