The young woman is on a journey to find out who she is outside the context of her famous family. Working on the continent she grew up on didn't help, because both her father and mother are well-known there and any feat she managed to do, after hearing her name, everyone just went 'oh, of course'. The final blow was, when the girl she fancied turned out to be a goddess in disguise and thus had - of course - dealings with her father.
The next continent over seemed promising. At first, she went there to learn more about it, but then discovered it was ruled by an evil witch and her husband, both trying to squeeze every last drop of magic out of it's citizens. She saw an opportunity to make a name for herself and joined the resistance. Her insight into firmer and more wide-spread magic helped immensely lifting the spell most of the populace was under and finally defeating the witch with her companions - which was when she discovered, the witch was her aunt! And even here, her father had already made many friends who just had been too polite to mention it to her! Furious, she left.
Her travels brought her to another world, because she discovered that simply changing the continent wasn't enough. Now, she helps solve magical crimes in a world that only recently discovered magic was real.
In this world, it's even no big deal that her mother cursed her wings to be made of metal and leather.
Also, while the next girl she fancies is an angel and has her own duties, her father's name didn't ring much of a bell to said angel, and she's much closer to Cherubima's age, so she's willing to try again.
