Lyra is an orphaned girl who was used as a test subject for various scientific experiments. She spent the majority of her childhood living at a research station with little knowledge of what the outside universe was like.

After she and Gamma were rescued by Altair and his crew of space pirates, she began to live with them on their ship. In the beginning, she feared becoming a burden to the crew and did everything she could to make herself useful to them. She soon learned that there was never any need for her to worry and the crew encouraged her to simply focus on enjoying her childhood. She has always felt safe and loved within the Aquila Crew and views them as her new family.

Lyra is a very shy and quiet girl, but not to be underestimated. She's brave when she has to be and is able to keep a cool head even in the most stressful situations. Her determination to become strong is fueled by her desire to protect those she loves. However, she tends to be very hard on herself for not improving as quickly as she would like.
